Media & Learning to launch survey into accessibility readiness

The EU Directive on digital accessibility comes into force in September 2020. Later this month, we are planning to launch a survey into how ready universities are to comply with this directive. As you may remember from the article we published by Thomas Dieste, from AmberScript in January, this directive has significant implications for anyone involved in creating and sharing audiovisual media as well as those departments responsible for lecture capture. We are told that US universities are far ahead of universities in Europe, we are going to try to find out if that is true. Results of our survey will be presented at the Media & Learning conference in Leuven in June when we expect this topic will be high on the agenda.
