Jisc in the UK recently announced that it is working with five leading developers of immersive experiences to bring virtual and augmented reality (VR and AR) into the classroom and lecture theatre. This is a move spearheaded by Jisc they say to help “to transform teaching and learning and make Education 4.0 a reality”. This move underscores Jisc’s belief in the power of partnership between universities and the private sector to move AR/VR mainstream.
