The European SafeOnline Initiative has just been launched. SafeOnline is led by partners in Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece and Romania and supported by institutions and associations across Europe. Together they are working on improving media literacy levels through extensive education. The primary goal of the initiative is to improve media literacy among children and teenagers through educating their parents and providing them with advice on media literacy online skills and safety of children across the European Union.
